"Fall on The Farm!" ...(in my living room...in miniature)

Happy Monday everybody! What was that? Did I just hear you grumble about it being Monday? Well cheer up! Monday is almost over and "The Scoop" link party is tonight. And if you live in Texas you can be doubly happy that a cold front is headed this way in the next 48 hours. That's what I live for this time of year!

Now let's have a look at these pics that I spent forever uploading. See how much I love you? Decorating is no fun at all if nobody ever sees it...so come on in! Take a peek at my "Fall on the Farm" corner in the living room.

I got this big old model barn from the sweetest gal on Etsy. It felt like Christmas morning opening this when it arrived! I had it saved to my favorites on Etsy and after a week or two of dreaming about it I had to make it mine. It was a great deal too. Can I just tell you how much fun the girls and I will have decorating this for Christmas?

Are you familiar with Sherry from the blog  The Shanty Girl? She has an Etsy shop too...click here. I ordered a lavender sachet from her recently and she also sent me this wonderful lavender + sage soy candle. It is so fresh and herb-y. I imagine provence to smell this way! MMM!  The sachet is for the dirty clothes bin. It already has the entire bathroom smelling French. Thanks Sherry!

Mmmmm....

I found 3 of these little wooden chalkboards at a thrift store for 39 cents each. I painted them antique white and hot glued some ric-rack on for texture. Not bad for an almost free, super fast, project.

This gourd painting was done by my mom. She's an amazing studio artist! We are a VERY artistic family (which means we are horrible at math...but hey, can't use the whole brain, right? haha).

And I like to move artwork around my house. If you never do, you should try it! It's fun to even hide some away, especially seasonal stuff like this. Then you can bring it out when the time is right and see it with fresh eyes.

I took apart an old arrangement of wheat I had in the closet. I made it into lots of little bundles. It feels a bit more harvest-y doesn't it? And it matches the scale of the other items around it.

Here's my old red truck again! I think it drives to different spots around the house during the night. :)

Harvest happiness! Thankful hearts = Happy Home.

Don't forget to stop by Monday nights and Tuesdays for The Scoop Link Party. And please check out my facebook page if you can. I post lots of pics of decor and paintings that never even make it to my blog. Also, be sure to take a peek at The Farmhouse Porch Etsy shop. I'm about to start adding vintage and handmade Christmas items!

Hugs and Sugar~
