The sun is warm, the wind is crisp and cool. Sweet birds are singing and swooping all around with bits of straw and fluff in their beaks. The sunlight is lingering a bit longer each evening and greenery and flowers are popping up everywhere here in my neighborhood.

I've had the urge to fluff my nest this week as well.
My daughter is getting to the point in life where she needs a homework "desk". She doesn't handle distraction well, so sprawling out all over the kitchen to do homework isn't working for any of us anymore. She had been begging for a desk for her bedroom so I got her a really cute one recently for 12.99 and a $7 chair, with plans to paint it and change out the hardware.
It sat...
and sat...
and sat in the garage.
Hubby had had enough so we hauled it upstairs last night.
(Yes, I slide furniture around on blankets. You must try it! It cleans your floors at the same time! :D)
I was pretty excited about the change up because I got to swap it out with a piece of furniture that I adore. An old white dresser that had been converted into an open shelf piece, beautifully painted, distressed...and had bead board added to the inside. My girls have torn it up a bit (crayon scribbles all over the inside). My husband cut a huge uneven hole in the back for wires at one time when this was our TV stand. GRRR
So now it is in my room holding quilts. Where she belongs.
And one last thing to show you.
I recently found this vintage 1950's white linen frock.
Isn't is adorable? If my girls were still babies I could put them in it and get some great photos. Or hang it in their bedroom. :(
But they are growing up FAST. And the bedrooms that were once precious baby rooms must morph into "big girl rooms"
So I'll list it in my Etsy shop. There may be a Nana, Mimi, Mommy or Me-maw out there who has a little angel to wear it.
