I spent most of the day teaching myself the ins and outs of photo editing on Picnik. What a great site!
Remember when I found all of the amazing illustrations in my old books .: I found hidden treasure in my home!!!
My favorite finds were the old agricultural "breed" illustrations. I just love these. And they're so Farmhouse Porch. So I looked up the artist and found them online. I used one as my banner up there. Here was a runner up that was pretty darn cute too...
I am still trying to get rid of the fuzziness. I'll keep plugging along at that...
I feel like Farmhouse Porch is really finding it's identity. When I started blogging it was sort of all over the place and unfocused (the worst thing a blog can be). I guess the blog reflects the person writing it. As it ages it knows who and what it is, what it likes. It takes more risks and doesn't need constant affirmation to keep going.
Of all the things I resolved to change about myself this new year, i'm VERY happy to be reaching the age where I know what I like and what i want out of life.
And I like "Farm Fresh Style"!

I love your new header! I'm with you ... farm house style is the best. Great job on your blog makeover.
Love the print you used in your header!
I know what you mean about finding your place in the blogworld. I have a quote on my sidebar that I read before every new post to remind me that it is MY creative place and not to worry about what anybody else thinks. Just today I read a little quip on somebody else's blog that said, "Write like nobody's reading." Love it!
Love the new header! Glad you've been playing around with Picnik...it makes a big difference with photos.
The new header is very unique =)
Love picnik. It's the best!
Love the new header too! And you are so right about how a bologna shapes "itself"!
