Carol Hicks Bolton's "Antiquities"
I tried to pack as much antique awesomeness as possible into my short little weekend in Fredericksburg,TX. I've shared a tour of the adorable shop Smitten with you, and a tour of the Lavender Cottage B&B that I stayed in on a previous trip. I'm sad to say that I drove past this cottage and it has been turned into what looked like an antique book store.
I couldn't wait to explore the new Carol Hicks Bolton showroom/warehouse/museum/store! The place is an adventure for the senses, let me tell ya! I could have meandered through it all day. Pictures do it no justice and the scale of this enormous store is something that doesn't translate in photos. The music was really cool too!
I was even lucky enough to meet the beautiful pixie-like designer herself. She was the most kind-hearted, down to earth lady ever and I really enjoyed visiting with her. She even made lunch AND dinner reservations for me and my husband at her favorite eateries. Now that is customer service and beyond!
I've overloaded this post with gobs of photos for you...I couldn't narrow them down so you'll get the whole sha-bang!
Please visit Carols Store! I promise you will LOVE it!!!
