My neighbor and I just returned from visiting a very neat shop. I was told about it by Pam at "From My Front Porch to Yours" blog
http://frommyfrontporchtoyours.blogspot.com/
Here are the pics I snapped with my phone. Please excuse the poor quality, we had a baby, two toddlers and two strollers to manage so I didn't even consider bringing the big nice camera.
Next to this shop, the property has another shop that is the most adorable shabby chic cottage ever. I wanted to move in...or at least throw a tea party in it! So romantic and light. I was so enchanted with it that I forgot to get any pics.
The shop is called The Old Oak Cottage in Huffman TX. It's actually a few mintes from Kingwood and Humble, in NE Houston.
I look forward to returning SOON.

Knew you would LOVE it!!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a fantastic shop!! There's nothing like a fun day out with a friend. Love your pictures...they turned out better than some of mine do with my good camera! lol!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend, my friend!
XO,
Jane
Hey there Miss Jane-
ReplyDeleteIt makes me happy to find something like this so close to my home. Downtown Houston has some neat stores, but who wants to deal with getting to THAT? I'd much rather go to a relaxing country cottage like this less than 10 minutes from home! I also love supporting local small businesses run by cool creative chicks.: D Thanks for stopping by FP♥
I love visiting shops that I like. This one looks wonderful, I love so many things in their store, their lighting is awesome! I am one of your new followers. Hope you will visit my blog and follow me.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
I love places like this ! I hope the next time you return you get pictures of the other shop too .
ReplyDeleteWho knew I'd ever be eying bed box springs with interest? Not me. But I am.

Thanks for your sweet, and hilarious, comment on the PB look alike post. You make me smile :)
ReplyDeleteThat looks like an awesome store to visit. You are far braver girls than I to attempt it with 3 little ones and two strollers. I'm sure you will be looking forward to visiting again, I know I would!
I love the little shop. Your photos are great! I only have a small camera and can't dare compare with all you professionals. I have fun trying anyway!
ReplyDeleteI used to live in Houston, way back when.
ReplyDeleteOf course you can still participate in the blog hop! You don't have to actually be rural - just have a rural mindset :-) I think the posts you've been doing would be just perfect for linking up, actually!
You are so brave to take two toddlers and two babies into a cute boutique. That store looks so cute. I thought Pamela owned it and I wanted her to move down the street from me and bring it with her.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great tour! Thanks for sharing! You won my giveaway by the way! =) Email me your snail mail: jeanineb4etsy(at)yahoo(dotcom). Yay!

Great tour; thanks! I love it! I'm amazed you could take any pictures with a baby and toddlers! You're brave!
ReplyDeleteWow! That looks like a wonderful shop! I wished I lived closer and could visit it. Happy to have found your blog this morning.

The shop looks wonderful. Wish it was closer to where I live in Pennsylvania. I just became a follower of your blog. I found you from Laurie Anna's. Stop by and visit me too.
