Hi Everybody!!
How are you today? I'm having a great morning. Anytime I get to play with new "junk" I'm as happy as a baby with candy.
My new shelves, which I hinted at a few weeks ago, are these crusty zinc(?) shelves. Now I'm pretty confident they aren't old OR zinc...but you can't tell in passing. The crusty patina is so pretty...
That old laxative bottle is pretty funny, eh?
I'm in a rush with this post! My neighbor Lauren and I are about to head out to Home Goods with the kiddos, and she reads my blog so it's not gonna be a secret as to why I'm running late! : D

Linsey

I can't believe I'm saying this, and my husband would be thrilled to know...I BOUGHT NOTHING! You can lift your jaw off the floor now.: D
ReplyDeleteThanks for the kind comments!
I went to HomeGoods with a friend. She's looking for things for her house. We also had an baby and a 3 year old with us. My 3 year old flipped an armchair onto herself and played hide & seek in the hanging rugs.
She's good at keeping me from spending money...
p.s. I did buy that white tool caddy you see pictured at Homegoods the other day.
Wow, the shelves look gorgeous. The whole thing looks like it's out of the pages of a magazine !

How fun!!! I love the big branch with bird nest!!!
ReplyDeleteLinsey, when you put in a photo, there should be an option for size. I've tried to go back and do it in my own blog to figure it out, but I couldn't get to where I wanted. But after inserting so many pictures in my blog last time I remember distinctly always choosing medium or large. Small was just too small. I also went back to the original settings for when I first "designed" my blog page and could not, for the life of me, find where to change the font for the comments. It's there somewhere, it just takes some digging. I used the HELP section, but it wasn't very helpful. I hope someone can give you some specifics.
ReplyDeleteLove your blog and I am going to have to come check out your space out at Old Town Spring.
ReplyDeleteWhen you post your pics to your post if you hover over it with your mouse it will have a pop up window that comes up asking you for size options. also at the top is a text icon if you hover over each one you should be able to find it. Hope this Helps!!!!

ReplyDeleteWhat a great look, love the bird nest, and those shelves,!
ReplyDeleteOh your shelves look great. I am new to your blog and have been having fun reading over your posts. Look forward to reading more!
ReplyDeleteI love those shelves'! they are too cool. I'm not sure about the comment size, but if you dont use Windows Live for posting, then you should. Formatting and even basic picture edits are so much easier. You can make the pictures as large as you want with it. It's a free software from Microsoft, you can upload (very easily) your blog template and layout and then post directly from the software to the blog without using Blogger.
ReplyDeleteThe shelves are wonderful!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for visiting the Back Porch and leaving your sweet comment.
I am thinking about making a "HomeGoods Run" today. It's rainy and gloomy. I am sure HomeGoods will brighten the day.:-)
What a neat find and they look great over your desk, Linsey!

Those shelves are just beautiful! I love the space, very pretty!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shelves and a lovely little area there. Another commenter already said this, but an easy way to get larger photos is to hover over the photo (or click on it and it will turn blue)in your edit post mode and the bar will pop up offering small medium large extra large or original. Then you just click off the picture so it is not blue anymore. Hope this helps.
ReplyDeleteGreat old shelves. Love how you styled them with the old bottles. Thanks for sharing at Wow.

ReplyDeleteI love the glass dome with the book paper rolled up...such a great idea. This is adorable.
ReplyDeleteHi Linsey,
ReplyDeleteLOVE your great shelves! And the way you staged them is perfection.:)
To make your photos bigger - after you've inserted one, click on it. Along the bottom of the photo, there will be options to do more sizes. Choose the one you want and it should resize right away.
Have a good one!
