I found my old girl scout badges. They almost look like antiques!
I feel old when I find old childhood stuff. What was once so shiney and new and special, now looks dated and retro. My 6 year old daughter thought they were pretty cool though. Glad I held on to these...
I was a brownie and then a girl scout and March 12th 2012 is the 100th anniversary of Harriet Low beginning of the Girl scouts.
In Savannah Georgia is where Harriet Lows house is and they will be celebrating next march all month I was trying to book a reservation for me next March and was told this when I was disappointed about where I wanted to stay was already full
My sister was a Girl scout baby adopted by our home town ( Mt Vernon Illinois) girl scout troup back on March 12th 1952 . Every year till she was 6 they had a big birthday party for her and she has pictures of her as a baby with the different troups.
awww,
ReplyDeleteI always wanted to be a brownie!
I loved the badges and outfits
I still pick up girl scout pins and badges when fleaing or thrifting.
