Ironstone Platter Wall Reveal

Howdy, howdy howdy!!! Geez Loooweez it's been awhile since I posted.
I try to not make my blog a personal diary where I just ramble on and on about nothing that interests you, although I am tempted sometimes when I feel like my head is going to explode from watching Disney movies and washing out sippy cups, so I pretty much only post when I have new junk or projects to show you.

Hanging platters on a wall is much harder than it looks. My little "helpers", bless their hearts, they mean well. But honestly I had to scream "Out, out, OUT!" a bazillion times during this little project. My 7 year old had somehow harnessed herself with belts (like a horse) to a baby stroller (the carriage) which contained my 3 year old. So the game of "runaway horse and carriage" went on around my feet as I balanced on a step ladder with dishes and nails. I tried yelling the Pony Express's secret password, Dakota, to no avail.

But I survived and I'm happy with my ironstone platter wall! I've been collecting the platters for a couple of years now, with the intention of hanging them all together. It's so neat to see a dream realized!

Don't forget to link up to Cowgirl up tonight, the party starts at 8:30 p.m. (Mondays)...

See ya'll there, and thanks to all of you who participate.♥

  20. Perhaps the most scrumptious wall ever! The elegant simplicity of it all is stunning. And kudos for not only having the ingenuity to do it, but for nurturing children who are ingenious themselves. Horse and cart? Brilliant.
