Entry Way Refresh

I cleaned house all morning so while the barbies, dog toys, pillow pets, shoes and Disney DVD cases aren't scattered around the place I snapped a few pics.  I used this entry table to display my "Christmas in July" projects for a photo shoot yesterday. You'll be able to see what I made July 27th.

It was a hot mess this morning so I figured what the heck...I'll change it up a little and do a post about it.

I found this old metal (drink caddy?) recently at Homestead in Hico,TX. If you have never been there and you live in TX. GO! It's awesome!!! Anyhow, I put some old postcards in it.

Don't you think the backs of antique postcards are just as beautiful and interesting as the fronts?

So glad you came to take a look. Have a wonderful, lovely, fantastic day!

  2. I love the postcards in the repurposed drink tray. It works well with the white pitchers, windows and basket of pillows. Was surprised your kitchen cabinets were black. I thought they would be white since you have a lot of whites in your decor!

  3. I think that's why I never photograph my house - I'd have to clean it :). Love that you use your Jadeite.

  16. Gorgeous home! I used to collect postcards when I was a child. I had aunts and uncles from all over the world send me their old postcards and my collection was quite amazing.

Then I went away to college and left my collection at home. My mother decided to clean house and threw out my brother's stamp collection. When he found up and was upset, she steamed all the stamps off my postcard collection to give to him and chucked out my postcards... sigh. Moral of the story is never leave anything behind!!! lol
