I've been having fun experimenting with impressionism lately. I really admire the impressionists! It is so much harder than it looks! Do you have a favorite impressionist?
Here is a zoom in on the pickers...
Cotton Pickers, 12x18 gallery wrapped canvas, $140
My grandma Lorraine picked cotton on the farm during the depression. She use to tell me stories about the hard times. As horrible as they were I can tell you that she was one of the toughest women I've ever known. She was the first woman in Tarrant country to buy a home without a man to co-sign! She owned her own successful business and raised 5 children. I'm sure those tough times built strength and character that helped her deal with any obstacle the rest of her life.
