Make it easier for me to comment on your blog!


You might get more comments on your blog if you make this simple change. Disable the "capcha" type feature which forces visitors to type in a jumbled up code word before they can comment. I know that I have abandoned commenting on many blogs because the code is so hard to read and not worth the time.

You'll find that spam isn't an issue really, at least I never get any. Another wise blogger did a similar post to this when I started blogging and I was very thankful for the simple little tip.

    I could not AGREE with you more! I just left a comment with the captcha thing and I would leave more if I did not have to jump through hoops! :)

    Lindsey-I have searched to high heaven trying to figure out how to turn off the dang thing. Can you give me some advice? I would also like my comment box to say "jump to comment" at the top like yours does. I would love some help if you have time to give it! thanks, susan

    I agree! I got rid of comment verification long ago and I almost NEVER get spam! I hate the jumbled words now...stops me from commenting also.

    Yes, I agree as well. I visit so many blogs and the quicker I can leave a comment the better, otherwise I don't most of the time.

    I agree. When I first set up my blog a few months ago...I decided then that the jumble thing was out. If at some future date I get comments from a machine...well...maybe a machine is better than none:)

    I agree with you. You know what drives me even more nuts is when you have to type in a code and then once you do that it says it must be approved by the blog author anyway. Arrggghh!

    Great idea! Totally forgot that my Captcha was even on! (And I get spam anyway WITH CAPTCHA, so what is the difference).

    That said, beautiful and fun blog! I will definitely be back....(oh..and hitting "follow" before I leave!!!)
