I am up to my eyeballs in projects right now. My biggest is a showing of my paintings on Gallery Night, March 24. So nervous about this! I spent most of the afternoon painting but I still have lots to do. Besides the finishing touches I need to varnish and do the edges and sign and give them time to dry. I WILL be done by the end of the weekend. I must.
But I also get distracted (stop laughing mom) by daydreams of changing up my decor. I have a plan for my dining room. Part of my plan involved rounding up all of my white ironstone. I don't have tons, and I've mixed in a few pieces that I don't think even ARE ironstone but who cares. It's my house and I can call it ironstone if I want. I also gathered up most of my metal baskets. I had NO idea I had so many. And it's dangerous to leave them mounded up all together right girls? Because we all know that eventually the hubs will notice them and ask you why on earth you need 200 metal baskets.
The mess was so pretty I just had to snap a few photos and share them with you to let you know I'm still alive!
Do you like this caddy I got at Home Goods? That store is SO fun isn't it?
Those are some of my paintings over there to the right...I need them outta here!
Oh look...another basket...
I kinda like them just laying there all together.
Boy my house looks empty back there. I can't believe there's a wall space I haven't filled up yet!
This is my fave. I got him at Canton about 12 years ago. See that bucket back there? $1 at the thrift store! I think I'll plant some basil in there...
project #86. Plant basil in bucket. : )
I love Home Goods TOO...and wire baskets and white china are at home in my place too.
ReplyDeleteYou have a great collection.Love that ironstone. We have a home goods around here too.I try to stay out.I do better at thrift stores.
ReplyDeleteLOL.... I'm sort of afraid to actually write down all the projects I want to do. #10,401 just seems so daunting!

My husband asked if I wanted go antiquing anywhere this weekend and I actually said no. I've never said no before, but our house and garage are so full of unfinished projects, it's making me DIZZY!
ReplyDeleteBUT, there's no reason I couldn't go and look at ironstone pieces or wire baskets like you have. They're already done! No refinishing, painting, etc. to add to my list. Your collection is quite impressive already!
I adore Homegoods, ironstone, baskets and I am sure I would love your paintings, too! :)
ReplyDeleteXO,

Adore the wire baskets. I always manage to sell mine and now I have none. You and I share the same love for ironstone. I don't really think all of mine are ironstone either, but the white, ivory, teapots, pitches, bowls, etc make me smile and that's all that matters. See my posts and some of my ironstone. I've only photographed a few. More will follow.
ReplyDeleteYou have an amazing collection! I too am in love with metal baskets, and would love to add more eventually, for what, i don't know. I also have so many projects, the only problem, they are all still just in my head! I need to get moving. Good luck with your paintings.
