♥Cath Kidston Inspired Girls Room♥

I've really been digging Cath Kidston stuff this week. If you follow me on pinterest just take a look at my "color" board. Cath designs fabrics and all sorts of other colorful patterned items that are just plain fun. The cheery retro look combined with pinky red rosettes on an aqua polka dotted background lend themselves to little girls room decor. I'm ready for some color in my life! Not just any colors...bold and vibrant. I think a kids room is a great place to start.

I want to share some "before" pics of my daughter's room and some Cath Kidston examples. I plan on doing a window treatment, some throw pillows and possibly sheets, a chandelier (which I already have in the attic), something unexpected on the walls, and a wall display shelf in a bright color.

It's exciting to have a game plan! And it will be so fun to scout out items in these new fun colors that are totally different from my "norm". I think her room lends itself to this look don't you?

  3. I love Cath as well but no little girls to decorate with. Sometimes Ikea has some prints by her in their kids bedding.

  7. I LOVE Cath Kidston. I just recently ordered some oilcloth from them and love it. I think the mix and match appeals to me. Your daughter's bedroom would look so pretty done up in that style.

  12. I can't wait to see what you do to the room, Linsey! I'm a huge Cath Kidston fan--all of her wares make me so happy. :) Though I think the before photos of the room are very pretty, and I especially love the pillows on the bed, Cath is so fitting for a child's room. Have fun making it over!
