I have this weird dream to one day have a tiny guest cottage in my backyard. I don't tell many people about this because I feel like a grown woman wanting a dollhouse, but I had the feeling there might be a few of you who understand my weirdness. I have actually been collecting pictures and magazines for years. Snippets of floor plans and colors and fretwork and beautiful tiny english gardens with window boxes and trelises (sp?) covered with tiny blush pink roses.
It will be very femanine and romantic. It will have a tiny farmhouse style kitchen...
A tiny porch with just enough room for two rocking chairs would be nice...
It must have window boxes...
It WILL happen someday. Until then I can keep adding to my scrapbook and sharing my dreams with you guys.♥

Another Texan with a kindred spirit. Call me silly too, I want 2 or 3 and maybe rent them on weekends. Dream big, every single thing I have dream about have come to pass. I think we never grow older in our likes, maybe they just get more grown up. Blessings, Marta.
ReplyDeletePD I only see one problem with having one of those, I will never come home...humm..I'll get to date my husband again!.
Creative minds dream alike!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures! I have had that dream since I was a little girl. I even made a floor plan when I was 10 or 11. :)

Love your inspirations!! Thanks for sharing them at Feathered Nest Friday! :)
ReplyDeleteKeep dreaming...it can happen. I had mine built about 8 years ago to put a day bed in and house all my gardening antiques. It is a special place and so relaxing.
ReplyDeleteI love all your inspiration photos. Keep dreaming. Hope you will have one someday.

ReplyDeleteI'm dreaming of building our first guest cottage for a client. :) Love your ideas. Check out our blog when you have a minute under "construction". I have several plans there that you may swoon over.
ReplyDeleteIT is never ever too late to have a happy childhood. I had a doll house, shabby chic tiny retreat on wheels built for me. It Is just 8 feet wide and 24 feet long. IT is my girl cave, my menopause cave. IT has 2 sleeping lofts, a kitchen table to seat 4, a bathroom with a tub/shower/toilet and sink, a farmhouse kitchen, a reading nook and 9 chandeliers. I also have a really cute garden shed that sits next to it. Take a look at my blog and enjoy.
