I had the same problem with a too narrow mantle, but thank goodness mine was wood, so no problem putting a wider board on top. In your case, I would have already had the Liquid Nails out and fixed that baby up real quick. ;-)Carla63https://www.blogger.com/profile/02991169788032203728noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3105496755493415120.post-70773945995527247502013-09-17T17:55:01.907-05:002013-09-17T17:55:01.907-05:00All the goodies look yummy! You have way more patience then me, hubby would come home and find it "broken"....LOL But but sweetheart, it just fell.....well considering what you have to work with I think you did a tremendous job! I love what you did :-)Christine @ Rustic-Refinedhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15062085942305276829noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3105496755493415120.post-8237968110930686842013-09-16T13:09:09.690-05:002013-09-16T13:09:09.690-05:00Hi Linsey,

Either that or build a wood top with a lip that fits perfectly over your cement top, and attach it to the wall with small L brackets. Gravity would pretty much work in your favor...
-ReviRevihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03118538206780122093noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3105496755493415120.post-71421728229189658342013-09-15T16:05:54.021-05:002013-09-15T16:05:54.021-05:00Beautiful treasures are always hard to let go.Espe...Beautiful treasures are always hard to let go.Especially the really cool ones!I say keep it and enjoy it for awhile until something else comes along and steals your heart!
xx
AnneAnnehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09188350801843939928noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3105496755493415120.post-37348379166931537202013-09-15T15:31:28.868-05:002013-09-15T15:31:28.868-05:00Oh I love it all, so keep it. Paint to look the same as existing mantel. Either way, I like how you have it, but I also know how it can be when you have a look in mind and it is not working. Good luck.
